Building Friendships
Making friends can be tough for anyone, especially for kids with autism or other special needs.
You might notice that your child develops and communicates differently, and that’s OK.
At Tandem Therapy Services, we know how important friendships and socializing are in school and the community. So, how do we help kids with autism make friends? We focus on their strengths and create strategies for success. We teach the basics of friendship — like communication, teamwork, and kindness.
We also help with other areas — like handling sensory processing and communication challenges. Our Learning Centers offer a secure place for kids to improve their social skills and emotional growth.
Our skilled board certified behavior analysts (BCBAs) and behavior technicians (BTs) provide modern ABA therapy that’s enjoyable and engaging.
With group activities and imaginative play, we help children enhance their language and communication abilities, grow social and play skills, adapt to new routines, and form friendships.
